  • Abstract:

In present scenario, a finite impulse response (FIR) filter is mostly used for DSP applications in communication and digital systems. The main purpose of the FIR filter is to afford high performance, greater flexibility and low cost. For this, the demand for FIR filter applications is increasing day by day in order to extract the raw signals from the noisy signal by using filtering techniques. One such filtering technique which plays the key role to remove the noise is FIR filter because of its characteristics such as linearity, stability and BIBO. In the design of FIR filter, adders and multipliers plays the vital role as they decide the cost, area, power and speed of the FIR filter. Here, the new implementing approach for adder was adopted by the CSLA dominated by carry generation logic and multiplier design was adopted by Square Architecture Based Vedic Multiplier using Multiplexer Based Full Adders for designing MAC based FIR filter using logical gates. In this paper, coding is done by using Verilog HDL and Simulation and synthesis is done by using Xilinx Vivado v2017.2 software tool. MAC based FIR filter for 16-tap using Full adder 2 has better reduction in power consumption i.e. 1.3871% in terms of watts, Combinational delay i.e. 2.4710% in terms of milliseconds and the overall LUT's i.e. 9.6408% than the MAC based FIR filter for 16-tap using fulladder1..

The emergence of autonomous machines is debated in the media. The progression of innovation in the field of autonomous route for robots is one of the main patterns these days, where we have to experience tremendous measure of eccentrics that is normal in military conditions during the defusing unexploded bombs or salvage tasks. Autonomous robots work in various types of condition, and it is essential for them to move and avoid obstacles around it. So as to explore the robot in an impact free way, way arranging calculations have been introduced. A human recognition calculation running on an indoor versatile robot needs to address difficulties including impediments because of jumbled situations, changing foundations because of the robot's movement, and restricted on-board computational assets. Earlier human detection was mainly done on images taken by visible light cameras. These methods take the detection process that humans use. We centre on continuous human-location and following in tumultuous and dynamic conditions and furthermore featuring the hugeness of fusing mechanical technology, correspondences and data examination in the field of land mine disclosure.

  • Abstract:

solar energy is the most rapidly growing renewable energy resource. in the past five years, it is gaining very much popularity in India as well as in many developing countries. Much research work is going on to increase the efficiency of the solar panels as well as to extract the maximum power from the solar panels as much as possible. The difficulty with the solar panel is that it is having non-linear characteristics that means its operating point gets shifted with the change in irradiation level and temperature. This research is dedicated to modeling a photovoltaic panel and understanding its non-linear characteristics with various irradiation levels and temperatures. Along with that maximum power point voltage prediction by using artificial neural networks is done. The simulation model is made on MatLab Simulink and by collecting various data from the Simulink model an artificial neural network-based network is modeled which is having the ability to predict the value of the voltage at which maximum power can be extracted from solar PV panel and maximize the efficiency of the solar PV panel..

  • Abstract:

Automated real-time insect classification could be the key to solving pest insect problems that plague our daily lives. In recent years, optical wing-beat sensors have been one of the main staples for wing-beat based insect species classification. These works commonly utilize the wing-beat or wing-flap characteristics acquired from photodiodes to predict the species or type of insect via modern classification techniques. However, instead of utilizing the popular optical-based method, this paper further explores the novel capacitive sensor concept for sensing insect wing-beat. The proposed method uses the electrocuting grids of an insect zapper as the sensing elements for detecting insect wing-beat. This sensing method introduces a new possibility in utilizing electrocuting grids to selectively kill insects of a specific species or type, while performing as a surveillance tool. This paper highlights the expansion of the initial capacitive wing-beat sensor concept through further integration with the high-voltage supply of the electrocuting trap.

One of the problems that Indian farmers face today is how to use pesticides in the correct way , i.e. some pesticides function properly in some lands. Recent research findings on the presence of pesticide particles in packaged water are classic cases of the nature and magnitude of the problem. Simultaneously, increased use of chemical pesticides has resulted in environmental pollution and there are many long-term implications for society. Knowingly or unknowingly, farmers are now being accused of using agrochemicals indiscriminately and unnecessarily to make the situation worse, not only in India, but also in other parts of the world. Suppose that if the chemical worked perfectly in Chennai, then the manufacturers in Chennai developed pesticides that helped their soil conditions. However, if similar....

It is widely known that construction parameters like thread count and weave type have profound impact on performance of the fabrics during their useful lifetime. This paper takes the same approach to conservation science where impact of thread counts and weave type has been experimentally explored in context of cotton fabric longevity. While certain weave types have traditionally been associated with strength and toughness, change in their performance over the period of time has only been documented empirically. However, novel technologies require hard core data to develop precision instruments. Current paper provides data driven comparative assessment of impact of thread count and weave type on strength and performance of cotton fabrics over the period of time. Change in strength and performance properties of cotton fabrics of varying thread count and weave over the period of stipulated....

  • Abstract:

In a given graph G = (V;E), a dominating set D is a subset of V such that any vertex not in D is adjacent to at least one vertex in D. Matrix algorithms for computing the minimum connected dominating set(MCDS) are essential for solving many practical problems, such as finding a minimum size backbone in Ad Hoc networks. Wireless Ad Hocnetworks appear in a wide variety of applications, including mobile commerce, search and discovery, and military battle field. In this paper wegive a adjacent matrix algorithm that finds a solution to the minimum dominating set and minimum dominating set problems. The algorithm uses the idea of starting from a solution where all vertices of the graph are included in adjacent matrix. Then it works by starting with first vertex nominated by us rest we can see in algorithm. We prove that this algorithm gives a constant performance guarantee. The results show that, despiteits simplicity, the proposed algorithm gives very good solutions.

This paper presents particle swarm optimization (PSO) for solving multi-area economic dispatch (MAED) problem with tie line limits. A constriction factor is applied to the regular PSO to ensure the convergence. The effectiveness of the proposed method is tested and verified on the two different systems. First system is a small power system with six generating units divided into two areas connected by a single tie-line, whereas the second system is a medium power system with sixteen generating units divided into four areas connected by six tie-lines. This algorithm gives a promising approach to solve the multi-area economic dispatch problem in practical power systems. The results obtained through the proposed method are compared with those reported in the literature.

Three members of the A- site doped Nb perovskites with general formula Sr3NbO5.5, BaSr2NbO5.5 and Ba2SrNbO5.5were synthesised by solid-state methods and their removal efficiency of Methyl violet from aqueous solutions investigated. The X-ray diffraction measurements demonstrated that the three samples have a faced cubic perovskite-type structure in space group Fm3 m.The addition of Ba2+ into the A-site of Sr3NbO5.5has influenced the cell volume, crystal size and density. Subsequently, the removal capacity was also impacted. The crystallite size of the oxideswas determined to be less than 82 nm. The maximum removal capacities of Methyl violet are found to be 46.5,13.1and 8.0mg/g using Ba2SrNbO5.5, BaSr2NbO5.5 and Sr3NbO5.5 respectively. The amounts of the dye adsorbed by the oxides have increased as the Ba2+ content increased. The removals of Methyl violet have positive relationship with pH, temperatureand the mass of the oxides.

A propeller is a fan like device consisting of a central hub with foil like blades attached radially to it. It receives power that is generated and transmitted by the engine of the ship via a shaft mechanism and in turn, converts this power into rotational motion for the blades. These blades impart a thrust force that transmits momentum to the water and drives the ship forward. The design of these propellers and their methods of manufacture ultimately determine their overall efficiency. This report reviews and emphasizes on the factors that contribute to increase this efficiency.

  • Abstract:

The aim of this paper is to reduce the power consumption and timing with quick fault analysis and spare wire allocation. A common solution which is utilized to guarantee reasonable memory yields is built in redundancy analysis (BIRA). BIRA has two-dimensional spare architecture and is a module that stores and analyzes fault addresses. Numerous different parameters are considered when the performance of BIRA is evaluated such as repair rate, area overhead, and analysis speed. To reduce the area, power consumption and delay a new method of spare allocation using threshold technique is proposed in this paper. It focuses on a 100% repair rate and a minimal area overhead with reduced power consumption and timing. In the fault collection phase, the proposed BIRA identifies the total number and the location of the faults. After the fault collection phase, a redundancy analysis (RA) procedure is performed and the allocation is done with optimized spare wires. By doing so, the proposed BIRA algorithm can repair all repairable faulty memories while maintaining a minimal area overhead and reducing power consumption and delay.

Jet engines are used in transportation such as civil aircraft, aircraft fighters and helicopters, Jet engines also used in the energy Production sector as gas turbine engines. Gas turbines, with both aircraft jet engines and stationary gas turbine engines, require a big amount of fuel. A pilot platform was developed using a small jet engine work with ultrasound technology merging with biodiesel system to dismantle the fuel as an auxiliary fuel source. A set of four ultrasonic fuel atomizers was used through the air intake area of the jet engine, each atomizers provide 5 liters / hourof fuel. Airflow was measured using mfs air flow mass sensor.a two separate fuel system (biodiesel fuel system ,fossil diesel system ) load scale was installed to measure the actual power of the engine in kgf units. A exhaust gas analyzer was used to measure the proportion of oxygen, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, unburned hydrocarbons (uHC), nitrogen monoxide and nitrogen dioxide in the exhaust gas. Engine performance was tested under three levels of load (high, medium and low) ranging from 10 psi in a stable operation condition as a minimum value.

  • Abstract:

The wing of an aircraft is the most critical part of an aircraft structure as it greatly influences the aerodynamic performance of the aircraft. Maintaining aircraft stability involves a lot of factors including the aeroelastic factors in an aircraft wing. It is paramount that the structural integrity of the aircraft body and the wing is maintained to avoid structural failure. The interaction of aerodynamic forces and elastic forces in a structure leads to aeroelasticity problems. Hence, these problems can be addressed by solving the fluid-structure interaction on an aircraft wing. This paper deals with solving the Fluid-Structure interaction on an aircraft wing using ANSYS Workbench components. In this project, an aircraft wing is designed and modeled using CATIA whose material is defined as Aluminium Alloy. The 2-way FSI analysis is carried out using Coupling method analysis in ANSYS Workbench which combines the data from ANSYS Structural and ANSYS Fluent to determine the structural deformation as well as aerodynamic effects on the aircraft wing which aids in studying the static aeroelastic effects in the given aircraft wing.

  • Abstract:

Deep neural networks work with artificial intelligence makes system more efficient with existence of different architectures. In this work a unique deep-learning based methodology named Residual Network with LBP, is proposed to efficiently extract and compare hierarchical data over complete features in multilayer perceptron (MLP). The LBP Net retains the same topology of Residual Network (ResNet). This method is briefly discussed, which mainly analyses the edge operation, the uniform pattern and rotation invariant pattern of learnable linear weights. This enables the LBP Net to realize a high recognition accuracy without requiring any costly model learning approach on massive data in texture analysis, classification, face analysis and recognition, and other detection applications are reviewed.......

  • Abstract:

Flexible organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) have been fabricated and their lifetime have been improved by encapsulation technique. We have also discussed the mechanism in lifetime decreasing of flexible OLEDs. The device structure is PET/ITO/NPB/Alq3/LiF/Al. First, employing SiOx and TeO2 films thermally deposited on the devices as thin barrier film was investigated. Comparing with the bare device, the flexible OLED with SiOx and TeO2 as an encapsulation layer has a longer lifetime by 3 times and 7 times respectively. Then, we proposed an efficient encapsulation method by thermally evaporated SiOx as a thin barrier film, following by a lamination process with an adhesive passivation layer (HBF-200UV). At an initial luminance of 100 cd/m2, the lifetime of flexible OLED with encapsulation process has a longer lifetime by 26 times comparing to the bare device. The encapsulation technique combining lamination process and thin barrier film provided lower permeation rates of moisture and oxygen for flexibleOLEDs more efficiently.

As per the list of 2019, India ranks 5 among the most polluted countries across the globe and 21 out of 30 most polluted cities in the world are in India itself. This comes as a serious threat to human health and forces us to focus upon the air quality; timely and effective monitoring of which can contribute to pollution control and improving human health. In this paper, we use various machine learning techniques to forecast the AQI of a certain region. Publicly available datasets are used to determine the concentration levels of various factors affecting the quality of air like PM10, PM2.5, SO2, and so on and predict the AQI based on it. The model provides us with a satisfactory level of accuracy and very minimal errors. Through this paper, we also intend to imply that machine learning can come in handy while dealing with problems relating to the environment.

  • Abstract:

A novel vertical directional solidification (VDS) process was utilized for the growth of III-V detached crystals and the study was focused to grow the indium doped Ga(1-X)InXSb (x=0.10, 0.15, 0.25) bulk crystals. The influence of the Indium doping on the structural, electrical, optoelectronics, transport properties and band gap is investigated. The crystals exhibited their detachment by reduction in the resistivity to 1.1×10−3Ω.cm, conversion from p-type the perfect GaSb crystal to n-type the ternary Ga(1-X)InXSb crystal and higher hole mobility 1.24×103cm2/V.sec than the experimental value of mobility of binary GaSb crystal 1.12×103cm2/V.sec. The electron mobility 2507cm2/V.sec at 300K and 4037cm2/V.sec at 77K were confirmed by the low temperature study. The band gap of the three Ga(1-X)InXSb ingots are tuned as -- i) 0.31 to 0.61eV, ii) 0.27 to 0.48eV, and iii) 0.27 to 0.33eV towards the band gap of the binary GaSb (0.68eV). XRD analysis of the grown crystals indicates that the III-V Sb based binary and ternary bulk crystals the preferred (022) growth direction. The stability and surface features of the entire detached ingots grown by VDS-process are close to the detached crystal growth in space..

Eosin Yellow dye of 10ppm was successfully photodegraded using visible light active co-doped TiO2nanomaterial that was synthesized from 0.75wt% Ba & 0.25wt% Zr by the sol-gel method as photocatalyst under irradiation for 20minuts and characterized by various advanced scientific instrumental techniques. X-ray diffraction showed that the prepared nanomaterial was in the anatase phase with 2theta (2Q) at 25.3 o. UV-visible diffuse reflectance spectra analysis enlightened that the dopants found in the TiO2 convey a significant absorption shift towards the visible region and their existence was confirmed by X-ray photoelectron spectral data. The formation of hydroxyl radical by the nanomaterial catalyst in aqueous solution under visible light irradiation was obtained quantitatively by the photoluminescence technique. Finally, the effects of different parameters in the photocatalytic degradation of eosin yellow were established in aqueous solution.

The general objective of this work was to model the second reduction potential of a series of tetracyanoquinodimethane (TCNQ) molecules. With a database of twenty-eight (28) analogous TCNQ molecules, twenty molecules or about 2/3 of the database were used for the training set and eight molecules or about 1/3 of the database were used for the test set. The molecular descriptors were calculated after optimization and frequency calculation using the DFT method in 6-31G (d, p)basis set. Using statistical analysis methods, a QSPR model for predicting the second reduction potential dependent on the electrophilic index only was developed. The statistical and validation parameters linked to this model were determined and considered interesting. These various parameters revealed that this model can be used to effectively predict the second reduction potential of future TCNQ of this same family belonging to its domain of applicability at the 95% confidence level.

Microalgae consists of lipid, protein and carbohydrate in many varieties of the strains. The conventional approach for making biofuels from microalgae has been to subject high-lipid strains to subsequently energy-intensive thermal drying, solvent extraction and tranesterification to produce biodiesel. These steps are costly and require the use of organic solvents unhealthy to both humans and the environment. Moreover, lipid-rich strains are usually slow-growing microalgae, and generally lipid mass fraction varies between 20 and 50%. The extraction process of algae is not well defined. Extraction of oil from algae is very difficult as it has very high moisture content and the cell membrane of algae does not rupture easily like that of seed. Pressing, chemical solvent, supercritical fluid and ultrasonic are some of the methods that are being used for algae oil extraction. Hydrothermal liquefaction....

The In these researches work a shell and tube type single pass heat exchanger considered for the comparative analysis. Analysis has been perform in two different phases, in first phase we prepare one setup of shell and tube type heat exchanger with brass tube for shell and cold water for straight copper tube of 500 mm for hot water due to its good thermal conductivity. After the experimental study a computational fluid dynamic analysis was perform by creating a virtual model in CFD environment. The CFD model has created according to the physical parameter of experimental setup and same boundary condition has provided to analysis the performance of heat exchanger. The solution obtained for each combination of velocity and temperature input and corresponding output is stored in the form of solution table and graph. After the CFD analysis a comparative study has been performed to know the effectiveness of heat exchanger.

  • Abstract:

Chitosan is a natural, low cost, renewable and biodegradable product duo to its properties in wound healing, biocompatibility and low toxicity. Chitosan is obtained by deacetylation of chitin. Propolis is a complex mixture composed of resinous materials collected by bees from branches, flowers, pollen. Has antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, cicatrizing activity among others, its wide application is explained by the variety of its chemical composition. The objective of the research was the incorporations of propolis to the chitosan membranes thus creating a new biomaterial. The produced membrane was characterized by MEV, wettability, surface energy and cytotoxicity by allium cepa. Is was observed that there was no change in topography, the hydrophilicity increased, for surface energy there was an increase in the polarity and surface tension of membranes, this way the propolis can be to added to the chitosan because it had no cytotoxic effect...

  • Abstract:

The importance of the alternative fuels is transferred to some component of the engine to transform chemical energy in to useful mechanical gaining importance as the design change of combustion process is very minimum or negligible. There are several researches undergoing to study the performance of the engines using well-known alternative fuels including biodiesel, bioalcohol (methanol, ethanol, butanol), refuse-derived fuel, chemically stored electricity(batteries and fuel cells), hydrogen, non-fossil methane,non- fossil natural gas, vegetable oil, propane and other biomass sources. These bio fuels are chemical fuels as the fossil fuels and generate heat to perform mechanical work, hence, are the most desirable alternative to the fossil fuels. But the existing design of the combustion engines must.....

  • Abstract:

Previous research results of our group showed the possibility to encode EEG signals related to sensory and cognitive stimuli, so as similar codes refer to similar stimuli and different codes to different stimuli. This paper further explores this issue by testing the possibility of recognizing mutually associated sensory and cognitive stimuli. To test this possibility of identifying and comparing signals coming from conceptually overlapping stimuli we conducted an experiment using an EMOTIV EPOCH+ EEG headset analyzing 4 electrodes (T8, P7, O1, F7) on two frequency bands (Beta and Gamma). The analysis was carried out with the same ANN used in the previous experiment. The paper analyses the results by band and electrode, finding many corrispondences between...
