Adaptive filtering is a very active area of research in the field of signal processing. Adaptive noise cancellation using adaptive filtering is an alternative technique of estimating signals corrupted by additive noise or interference. As received signal is corrupted by noise continuously where both received signal and noise are continuous signal, then a need of adaptive filter arises. This paper presents a comparative study of the various gradient decent based adaptive algorithms-recursive least square (RLS),least mean square (LMS) along with various categories of LMS such as normalized LMS(NLMS) Signum LMS(SLMS), fast block LMS(FBLMS) based noise canceller. Progressing growth of IT has brought rapid technological advancement. Technologies are getting advance at an exponential rate and hence massive amount of data is emerging at very enormous rate in different sector. So there are lots of baselines for researcher to roadmap their strategy for technological improvement. Huge amount of data i.e. terabytes of data are carried over computer networks to and from organization working in the field of business, engineering and science. Many approaches based on mathematical model were suggested for dredging association rule but they were complex for users. Our work contemplated an algorithm for interpolating Stock Market data using fuzzy data dredging through which fuzzy association rule can be induced for Stock series. Our work proposes the algorithm in which each fuzzy item has its own predefined minimum support count. Time series data can be any sequence data which has some trend or pattern in it. It may be either stock market data, climatic observed data, data observed from medical equipments. Our work also measures the data dispersion in time series data i.e. stock market data used here........Keywords: WEKA, fuzzy association rule ×

Implementing load balance in parallel program is very important. It may reduce running time and improve performance of program. This paper proposes a slicing algorithm in which we did not use any slicing criteria but we use slicing point. It is designed only for iterative programs as most of the programs or applications are developed for performing repetitive tasks. We found better results by achieving load balancing through program slicing. Keywords: Load balancing, parallel computing, partitioning, slicing ×

The report represents a proportion of the materials which can be used as replacing cement. Many previous studies have been done on various properties of concrete like durability, strength etc this is another interpretation from some former reports .this report will mainly focus on the properties of concrete like compressive, split tensile and flexural strength. With this evaluation a perfect combination of both these materials can be distinguished. Replacement to some part of cement (OPC) is done with FA and MS from last decades. If we go through these reports most of them came to a conclusion that these materials are hundred percent riskless and out of harm in any surrounding and under any observation. . These materials are best suitable for mix. The outcome of this analysis will set a better improvement step for conservation of cement to a limited extent along with its environment friendly and economical replacementKeywords: Cement replacement, Compressive strength, Flexural strength, FA, MS. ×

An exact solution to the unsteady free convection flow of viscous incompressible fluid, in the presence of foreign mass, past an impulsively started infinite vertical isothermal plate in a rotating fluid, has been derived by Laplace-Transform technique. Axial and transverse velocity profiles are shown on graphs and numerical values of skin friction are listed in a table. It is observed that the non dimensional rotational parameter Rc increases there is fall in axial velocity profiles for all prandtl numbers because the coriolis forces oppose the fluid flow , hence the motion gets slow down ..............Keyword: Mass transfer, incompressible fluid, Coriolis forces, free convection ×

This paper presents about the automation of driving license test system. Normally, in driving test a candidate applied for license have to drive over a closed loop path in front of the authorities. The candidate has to drive over the path with specific rules and if he fails to do he will be disqualified. For that, the authorities watch candidate manually. In this project, the arduino system with sensors has been developed for watching the candidate for getting license. By using this, the candidate who fails to attain criteria in the vehicle on track, the sensors can be monitored then it was processed by another Arduino system connected to laptop or PC. Concrete is the most extensively used man-made construction material in the world. Its most important quality is its versatility and the ability to design the concrete of any required properties according to the environment. . Human development in today's scenario is impossible without the excessive use of concrete. Cement is the most important component of concrete. Unfortunately production of cement emits a very large amount of greenhouse gases and possess a very potential threat to the atmosphere. Thus it is inevitable for the sustainable development of human life that the dependency on cement to obtain strength in concrete should be lowered. This article describes general algorithm used to build a tester for combinational logic gate(s) inside a digital Integrated Circuit (IC). The challenges include how to handle different type of gate, variant number of input, and cascaded gates. Proposed solution is using common function for all types of digital IC by interpreting defined data abstraction for combinational logic gate(s) inside digital IC. This data abstraction is written in simple array of byte to present pin numbers and gates. The solution has been verified by simulation using ISIS Proteus and in real condition where the algorithm is implemented on AVR microcontroller ATmega32. The result show that the algorithm works successfully to tests all types of combinational logic gates inside TTL IC and CMOS IC as well.Keyword: Algorithm, AVR microcontroller, combinational logic gate, digital IC, Proteus, test ×

Image compression algorithms are used to reduce the redundancies in the representation of the data so that the data storage requirements and the communication cost can be reduced. Different algorithms have been developed to reduce the size of an image like JPEG, PNG, SPIHT, etc. In this paper, we mainly focus on the JPEG image compression algorithm because it is mostly used in the Internet and Multimedia based applications. In JPEG, quantization tables and masking tables are used as the main source for the compression of the data. Based on our review, we identify that in literature less attention is given to analyze the effect of the masking tables during the implementation of the JPEG algorithms. Therefore, to address this research issue, in this paper, we analyze the effect of the masking tables used during the JPEG image compression algorithms.Key words: JPEG; Quantization Tables; DCT; Image Compression; Masking Tables ×

Solar still is very optimistic option for obtaining fresh water from saline or brackish water as it uses solar energy which is free, non-toxic and inexhaustible. Continuous efforts have been made by various researchers worldwide to increase its productivity. Solar still can be integrated with energy storage materials to improve the distillate output. An energy storage substance stores the energy in the form of sensible heat or latent heat during daytime and releases it during off sunshine hours thus resulting in increase of fresh water output. In the present work, an emphasis has been given to review the configurations and performance of solar still integrated with various thermal storage materials. Keywords: Desalination, energy storage materials, PCM, phase change materials, productivity enhancement, solar still. ×

Coherent persistence is the main objective and has been a vital challenge in fourth generation wireless networks (FGWNs). "HANDOVER" is the best possible solution to achieve the coherent connectivity, which will be used for service persistence, when a mobile terminal (MT) is in overlapping area. To support coherent persistence in heterogeneous networks, the traditional Vertical Handover Management (VHM) approaches are not good enough. Hence, it is very important to deal with those challenges like selection of network and triggering of incompatible handover. In Heterogeneous wireless networks main test is constant association among the different networks like Wi-Fi, WI-Max, WLAN and WPAN etc. In this proposal......Keywords: Handover mechanism, vertical handover management (VHM), vertical handoff decision (VHD), gray relational analysis (GRA) and TOPSIS ×

Mandarin accounts for a significant part of the Colombian citrus fruit production, the postharvest degreening of these products to attain pigmentation being a common practice when they are harvested in the tropics. The endogenous signaling molecules such as methyl jasmonate and ethylene are produced during fruit formation, and they play a key role in post-harvest and stress responses. The latter is commonly used to degreen mandarin, which, however, exhibits low sensitivity to this compound. It is therefore important to establish degreening alternatives to ethylene. Thus, the aim of this study was to determine the effect of methyl jasmonate on the degreening of Arrayana mandarin (Citrus reticulata L.). For such purpose, respiration rate, weight loss, color index, total chlorophyll, total soluble solids, firmness and total acidity were determined.........Keywords: degreening, mandarin, methyl jasmonate, ethylene, 1-Methylcyclopropene ×

A landfill is a secured engineered pit in the ground into which the wastes are dumped. Proper landfill liners need to be used to avoid any hydraulic connections between waste and surrounding environment. These liners can be created of different materials of which sand-bentonite mixtures are attracting greater attention. The sand bentonite mixture is a mixture of two different materials in terms of their particle size and chemical activity to produce a material with low hydraulic conductivity, low compressibility and sufficient strength. Low hydraulic conductivity of the mixture is due to the ability of bentonite particles to swell and fill the voids between the sand particles and whereas sand framework provides low compressibility.......Keywords: bentonite, curing period, Maximum Dry Density (MDD), Optimum Moisture Content (OMC), Unconfined Compressive Strength (UCS). ×

It encrypts files by dividing its contents into blocks of 256 bits block at a time. High security is achieved even with a single character key. This algorithm is fast and can be used to encrypt large text files quickly with ease. The conversion of wind energy into electrical power generation is very useful, important and economical. Due to injection of wind power in electrical grid system, many power quality issues raisedsuch as reliability, harmonic, distortion and voltage level. In this paper focused on removing harmonics and maintain voltage level. The proposed scheme of static synchronous compensator (STATCOM) is connected at point of common coupling (PCC) with battery energy storage system to improve power quality. The STATCOM control scheme is simulated using MATLAB/SIMULINK to maintain power (both active and reactive power) and terminal voltage. The proposed scheme maintains voltage level, remove harmonic &distortion and free main supply source from reactive power demand of load in power system..Keywords: Static Synchronous Compensator (STATCOM), Point of Common Coupling (PCC), Wind Energy, Power Stability. ×

Multistage Interconnection Networks (minutes) play a vivacious position to perform high overall performance within the discipline of VLSI, broadband communications, parallel and distributed systems designs. The problem of fault tolerance, and cost effectiveness are the predominant challenges for calculating the overall performance of MINs. A MIN is better fault tolerant, if it may deal with the extra faults come across in different stages. The fault tolerance of already proposed Modified Irregular Augmented Shuffle Exchange Network (MIASEN) [13] is examined in terms of bandwidth, processor utilization, throughput, probability of acceptance, and processing power. The performance and evaluation analysis indicates that the MIASEN is extra fault tolerant than the present Modified Alpha Network (MALN).Keyword: Fault tolerance, Multistage Interconnection Network ×

This paper discusses two algorithms, SMDC Algorithm to convert a sparse matrix into deci-mal coding format and Reverse SMDC Algorithm to convert a decimally coded matrix back into the normal sparse matrix format. SMDC is a space optimized storage method for storing sparse matrices. It can store a sparse matrix with m rows and n columns and nnz nonzero elements, with smaller (m or n) + nnz +1 storage space, which is very much space efficient storage compared to most of the sparse matrix storage methods.Key words: Sparse matrix, decimal coding matrix storage, Dense matrix storage, Decimal coding algorithm, sparse matrix storage algorithm. ×

In recent years, improved road safety by monitoring human factors i.e., stress, mental load, sleepiness, fatigue etc. of vehicle drivers has been addressed in a numberof studies. Due to the individual variations and complex dynamic in-‐vehicle environment systems that can monitor such factors of a driver while driving is challenging. This paper presents a drivers' stress monitoring system based on electroencephalography (EEG) signals enabling individual-‐focused computational approach that can generate automatic decision. Here, a combination of different signal processing i.e., discrete wavelet transform, largest Lyapunov exponent (LLE) and modified covariance have been applied to extract key features from the EEG........Key words: Stress, Monitoring System, Electroencephalography (EEG), Case-‐Based Reasoning (CBR), Largest Lyapunov Exponent (LLE) ×

Abstract:
There is a necessity to firmly manage, store, and examine enormous quantity of complex data i.e. semi-structure and unstructured to regulate configurations and developments in order to expand the feature and excellence. It is very essential that clouds be secure and protected because of the critical environment of the applications. The foremost security task using cloud is that the holder of the data possibly will not have control of where the data is located. If anyone who desires to exploit the advantages of using cloud computing, one must also use the resource sharing and scheduling delivered by clouds. The data stored on cloud may be possible altered or modified without the knowledge of client. There should be a mechanism that verifies the stored and the data being retrieved...........Keyword: Authentication, Cloud computing,Encryption and decryption,Hash function, Integrity ×

A systematic and comprehensive first law analysis of a cooled gas turbine cycle subjected to vapor compressor inlet air cooling (VC-IAC) has been conducted in our study. Film air cooling technique has been implemented to cool the gas turbine (GT) buckets. The gas turbine is subjected to variation of various operating and ambient parameters and the corresponding effect is analyzed to find out the optimal one. The integration of VC-IAC has been reported to further enhance the plant specific work and plant efficiency of gas turbine cycle, the enhancement being higher in regions having a hot and dry climate. This increase in cycle performance due to VC-IAC has been found superior in case of bucket cooled GT cycle when compared to uncooled one. It has further been witnessed that the plant specific work increases by more than 0.35 % and the plant efficiency increases by little above 0.1 % for every 1o C.Key words: compressor inlet temperature; film blade cooling; gas turbine performance; inlet-air cooling; vapor compression;. ×

The improvement in gas turbine power plants by integrating a mechanical chiller to it for cooling the inlet air is the prime objective of this study. The bucket cooling method adopted in this study to cool the turbine buckets has been chosen as film cooling. The selected input parameters have been varied to analyze the power plant output and efficiency at varying conditions and then select the best alternative which will help the design engineers. The integration of mechanical chiller significantly augments the plant output and efficiency. This improvement is more pronounced in hot and humid climates. It was observed that as the compressor inlet temperature is reduced the bucket coolant mass flow rate decreases and the mass of fuel energy input increases. The increase in specific work and efficiency is calculated to be 14.59 % and 4.46 % respectively when the ambient temperature drops to 283K. The work ratio increases with increase in value of ratio of inlet temperatures (rIT ) upto 5.6 after which it starts decreasing. There is an optimum rIT at any pressure ratio (rp,c.)at which the work ratio is maximum . The heat rate increases with increase in rIT and decrease in rp.Key words: Mechanical Chiller; film blade cooling; gas turbine performance; inlet-air cooling; ambient. ×

This thesis describes an intelligent approach to control an Antilock Braking System (ABS) employing a fuzzy controller. Stopping a car in a hurry on a slippery road can be very challenging. Anti-lock braking systems (ABS) take a lot of the challenge out of this sometimes nerve-wracking event. In fact, on slippery surfaces, even professional drivers can't stop as quickly without ABS as an average driver can with ABS. Anti-lock Brake improves the controllability of vehicles in compare with brake systems lacking ABS. Fuzzy is a multi-valued logic developed to deal with imprecise or vague data. Classical logic holds that everything can be expressed in binary terms: 0 or 1; in terms of Boolean algebra, everything is in one set or another but not in both. Fuzzy logic allows for partial membership in a set, values between 0 and 1. When the approximate reasoning of fuzzy logic is used with an expert system, logical inferences can be drawn from imprecise relationships. Fuzzy anti-lock Braking systems.Key words: ........ ×
