  • Abstract:

This particular paper would be dealing with the analysis of the cantilever beam box that would be focusing on fluctuating torsional or statics moment loading. Those types of beams might be having many locations that could be critical from the view's strong point; among the interesting information is that, the cross-section where loading would be imposed. Although such information could be designed typically so that they could be possessing smooth shapes, and it would result in concentrations that could be moderating stress, that would be meaning that the fatigue failures could be avoided. Although, the cross section's distortional deformation and it would be inducing transverse bending stress, which might be detrimental, mainly in welded beam box. Moreover, the fixed location where the beam would be typically welded in the endplate might have become an essential point. This....

  • Abstract:

The modelled system is believed to have only one state at any given time, and its evolution is represented by transitions from one state to the next. This system's physical or mathematical behavior can also be depicted by defining all of the numerous states it can be in and demonstrating how it moves between them. In this study, the iterative solution methods for the stationary distribution of Markov chains which start with an initial estimate of the solution vector and then alter it in such a way that it gets closer and closer to the genuine solution with each step or iteration is examined on the Markov chains whose transition matrices have a special block structure, a block structure that arises frequently when modeling G/M/1 queueing systems which leaves the transition matrices unchanged and saves time...

  • Abstract:

To obtain usable solar power with Solar Photo Voltaic (SPV), Power Electronic Converters (PEC) are required. PEC converts DC output power from solar into AC. PEC interfacing hinders the operation of utility system. The high frequency switching operation injects the harmonics into the system, hence various Power Quality (PQ) issues are generated. In this paper, performance analysis of off-grid Solar Energy Conversion System with two-level Voltage Source Inverter (VSI) to reduce harmonics is presented. Mathematical modeling of solar PV (SPV) system is described. For satisfactory performance of SECS, Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm also play very important role. Brief overview of conventional MPPT algorithms is also given. The performance of the system has been analysed for various operating conditions of linear and non-linear load.

  • Abstract:

DSTATCOM is widely employed to mitigate harmonics generated due to non-linear loading or due to integration of Distributed Generation (DG). Nonlinear load as well as DG are designed using Semiconductor Based Power Electronic Devices (SBPED). SBPED are high switching devices, hence they inherently inject the harmonics into the sinusoidal voltage-current waveforms. DSTATCOM is a three phase inverter followed by filter unit at AC side and a DC battery at DC side. It is connected in parallel with a nonlinear load and acts as a current source which compensate for Non-Linear Current (NLC)and provide reactive power. The way DSTATCOM mitigate harmonics is primarily depend upon the control strategy implemented to trigger the gate pulses of the DSTACOM inverter. There are numerous control...

This paper presents the development of a uniform linear patch antenna array on FR4 substrate and operating at the frequency of 3.5GHz for satellite reception. The rectangular patch antenna array (7x1) with coaxial cable feed was designed and simulated using CST (Computer Simulation Technology) Microwave Studio software. The performance of the designed antenna was compared to that of the rectangle single patch antenna in terms of voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR), bandwidth, directivity, radiation pattern and gain. The array antenna was then fabricated on an FR4 substrate with a dielectric constant of 4.3 and a thickness of 1.6 mm, respectively. The array antenna was measured in the laboratory using a network analyzer (VNA) and the results show good agreement with the simulated performance of the array antenna..

Also, the equipment installed in the network came from several companies. It took more than two months to get complete data and a sample of network, but no clear data was obtained, so I invented a network like real one. I used ERACS software, which is provided by the department of electrical and computer engineering and choose many elements form its library. It was useful and had a good manual.

Wole Soyinka is a renowned Nigerian dramatist, who was awarded Nobel Prize in 1986, for his accomplishment in the field of literature. He is a prolific writer and versatile genius of Africa. His works are based on society, culture, tradition and politics of Africa. The dramatic environment that Soyinka creates has been enriched with variegated realistic scenes portraying African life very exactly and fashions and characters holding a mirror up to nature and presenting life as it is. The traditions and customs of Yoruba are typically presented in the play. Some of the customs like, bride-price, polygamy, wife wooing girls for her husband, are emphasized much and challenged these outdated customs and traditions. • Abstract:

Due to the saturation of the physical spaces intended for construction in large urban centers, it has been chosen to verticalise the buildings as an alternative for cities to support demographic growth. As a building gains height, the action of the wind, for example, causes significant effects, resulting in an increase in the requesting efforts when applied simultaneously with the other acting actions. These effects, called second-order effects, if not considered in the structural design, can compromise the overall stability of the structure and consequently the local stability of the structural elements. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effect of the second-order geometric elastic in plane steel frames with rigid beam-column connections, components of the structural systems of buildings with multiple floors...

  • Abstract:

This project is concerned with the most important renewable energy source, solar energy, as a heating source for domestic hot water demand in a residential property in Kuwait. This project aims to conduct a numerical study for a solar water heating system (SWHS) to provide the ability to develop and modify the conventional electrici-ty-based water heating system. They were also concerning the key factors affecting the performance of the (SWHS). Additionally, demonstrate the energy balance of the flats plate solar collector applied in the system to obtain the parameters of the....
