Abstract:
5G is quite possibly the most remarkable innovation of the past ages of remote phone innovation. Fifth era is intended to not be a steady development on 4G innovation. 5G has its special change in outlook that would incorporate high transporter frequencies with exceptionally high data transfer capacities, and novel base station and gadget densities with unequaled, lovable quantities of reception apparatuses. Moreover, 5G has the capacity of connection and coupling any new air interface and range together alongside LTE and WiFi to give widespread high-rate inclusion and a consistent client experience. To arrive at these degrees of mixes, adaptability and organization knowledge will be hugely upgraded and settled..Keyword: ..... ×

SSD (Single Shot Multi box Detector) is one of the most popular object detection detectors with high precision and fast speed. However, SSD's feature pyramid detection method makes it hard to detects small objects. In this paper, we proposed an improved SSD named FFASSD, which includes a lightweight feature fusion module and an efficient channel attention module. FFASSD can especially improve the performance of SSD in small object detection. In the feature fusion module, features from different layers with different scales are concatenated together, the features of shallow layers are replaced by the generated new features to predict the final detection results. In the channel attention block, capturing local cross-channel interaction before the multi-scale feature maps being classified and regression......Keyword: Object detection, SSD, feature map fusion, attention mechanism ×

The Random Exponential Marking (REM) algorithm is a traditionally proposed Active Queue Management (AQM) algorithm for congestion control on a wired TCP network, where packet loss is an indication of congestion. However, in wireless TCP networks, packet loss is also caused by communication and processing at the wireless links. Therefore, in order to apply REM algorithm on wireless TCP network, in this article, we propose two solutions to improve REM active queue management algorithm. Solution 1 is to use an Hedge Algebra Controller (HAC) so that the REM algorithm can more adapt to the dynamics of the TCP network. Solution 2 is to separate packet loss caused by wireless link from packet loss caused by congestion control. This solution uses an agent that has a combination of an HAC and Explicit Congestion Notification (ECN) at the interface between the wired and wireless network. The simulation results have demonstrated the effectiveness and adaptability of the proposals.Keyword: Active Queue Management, Hedge Algebra Controller, Random Exponential Marking, Wireless TCP. ×

Multilevel inverters (MLI) since its initiation have gained the attention of researchers for medium and high power application. However, a topology with a lower number of device count for higher efficiency and reliability has always been necessory. A reconfigurable structure for hybrid MLI is introduced by combining switched-capacitor technique along with conventional hybrid topology in asymmetric mode. The floating capacitors in HBs can be charged by the input voltage source directly or indirectly. Thus, simplified voltage balance controls are achieved which result in simplified modulation. In addition to the merits of conventional topology, reconfigurable hybrid multilevel inverter (RHMLI) is more flexible and can provide wide range of output. All these merits make this topology appropriate for developing a staircase AC output of single phase 7 level, 15 level, 31 level and three phase seven level using minimum switch count, with higher efficiency and lower costs. The simulations of reconfigurable...Keyword: reconfigurable multi-level inverter, switched capacitor, staircase output, asymmetric mode ×

Establishing modular refineries near oil-bearing areas is a key policy initiative of the Nigerian government to increase local refining capacity and reduce or eradicate the perennial shortage of petroleum products in the country. Modular refineries are less complex and cheaper to build and maintain, compared to conventional refineries. To further reduce complexity, cost, and make in-country design, construction, and operation possible, modular mini refining plants using batch distillation units have been proposed. This has made it necessary to carry out systematic studies in-mini batch processing of crude oil. This paper investigates the effect of crude oil assay on distillate cuts yield in a mini-batch distillation plant using a process simulator. The simulation was carried out with three Nigerian crude oils (Bonny Light, Brass River, and Forcados) under the same operating conditions to reveal and analyze the volumetric yield of the different distillate cuts. The results show that the different crudes favoured the production of different cuts. Bonny Light gave the highest total cuts yield of 61.22% compared to Forcados (54.38%) and Brass River (55.45%). The results from this study will help investors to determine the economic viability of building mini modular refining plants with batch fractionating units..Keyword: Aspen plus, Batch distillation, Crude assay, Modular refinery, Simulation ×

Nowadays, accidental death of lineman is a commonly occurring tragedy. so, it is compulsory for us to guarantee the safety of linemen by adapting a new method of operation. A new system should be adapted to regulate and manage the control panel which consists of all the electrical components and circuit breakers. These accidents are on the rise throughout the country, main reason being miscommunicationbetween the maintenance workers and sub-station workers. The planned system gives a solution for this problem and reduces the risk for linemen. The control to activating/ deactivatingthe control panel is in the hands of the linemen only. In this new method of operation, a "Passcode or Password" is needed to access the control panel and further to operate the circuit breaker (ON/OFF). An encrypted Passcode/Password is sent form the substation to the circuit breaker operators(linemen), for the purpose executing maintenance works. The password is registered and forwarded to the lineman's mobile and also to the management panel by the help of GSM module. The received passcode/password is typed in through the matrix keyboard which acts as the input device and also it is interfaced to the microcontroller present inside the panel.
