Jiuzhaigou 7.0Ms Earthquake Occured At 13:19 8th August 2017 (UTC) In Sichuan Province, China. We Processed The High Rate (1Hz) Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS) Data Of Stations In Two-Hundred Kilometers Distance From Epicenter After One Hour With Ultra-Rapid Ephemeris By TRACK Module Of GAMIT Software And Discovered That There Are Only Two Stations Have Obvious Displacement. Xxx Station Have A Displacement About 1.5 Centimeters Forever And Xxx Station Was Not. Meanwhile, We Processed The Same Data By Rapid Ephemeris And Precise Ephemeris. To Compare, Three Result Almost Have No Difference. Last, We Gave A Group Of Different Distance Reference Stations From Epicenter In One Direction To Process And The Result Of Min And Max Distance Were Not Good, It Must Be A Probable Distance For Selecting Reference Station..Keyword: Track, Earthquake, GNSS, High Rate, Displacement. ×

It Has Been Observed At Several Instances That Pavement Performance Is Greatly Affected By The Usage Of Poor Quality Of Soil Subgrade Which Causes Severe Damage And Distress. With The Growing Tendency To Utilize Marginal Soils, There Arises The Need To Understand The Fundamental Behavior Of The Materials In Order To Make Suitable Amendments In Design Parameters, Especially In The Subgrade Construction Of Pavements. This Paper Presents The Shear Strength Behavior Of Geotextile Reinforced Marginal Soil Without And With Cement Modification And Compares Its Performance With That Of Conventional Soil Subgrade (Gravel). The Cement Modified Reinforced Marginal Soil Has Shown Significant Improvement In Shear Strength Parameters Both Under Un-Drained And Drained Conditions. Further, The Study Revealed That The Cement Modified Marginal Soil Has Become Non-Plastic With Its Performance Close To That Of Gravel Subgrade. The Mechanisms Of Geotextile Reinforced Soil In Mobilizing The Shear Strength Parameters Are Observed To Be Relevant Even For Cement Modified Marginal Soil..Key words: Marginal Soil; Cement Modification; Geotextile Reinforcement; Shear Strength ×

Casting fresh cementitious materials against a hardened concrete substrate is common for most concrete constructionin repair and retrofitting, leading to cold-joints or construction joints. The potential for problems to arise may be exacerbated when high performance concretes with a lower water-to-cementitious ratio (w/c) is used particularly when restrained early age shrinkage and subsequent drying shrinkage occurs. Such shrinkage may result in micro-racking especially at an interface that is vertically formed between the two cementitious materials, leading to durability issues and premature loss of serviceability. This experimental study in Part I has examined how restrained early age shrinkage may affect crack formation at the vertical interface formed between freshly cast cementitious mixtures and hardened concrete substrates in a tropical indoor environment (30±0.5ºC and RH of 65±2%) using the image analysis technique. This experimental study in Part II has examined the size effect of early age shrinkage under "sealed" condition in larger size specimens. The results show that the duration during whichdevelopment of early age shrinkage is accompanied by moisture loss through the interfacescan be expected to continuefor a longer duration typically, beyond 24 hours after adding water to the mix. The strategy to minimizing micro-cracks through reducingheat evolution and moisture loss through the interface simultaneously was found to be particularly effective in large sized specimen..Key words: Early age shrinkage, Image analysis, Vertical interface, Size-effect ×

During earthquake the behavior of any structure is influenced not only by the response of the superstructure, but also by the response of the soil beneath. Structural failures in past have shown the significance of Soil-structure interaction (SSI) effects. The present study focuses on SSI analysis of a symmetric 13 story RC Space frame shear wall building over soft soil and subjected to seismic loading. The transient analysis of structure -soil-foundation system is carried out using ETAB software. Earthquake motion in time domain corresponding to Zone Vof IS 1893:2002 designs. Seismic coefficient method is used to excite the model of soil-structure system. For integrating the SSI effect, one type of soils based on values of elastic modulus of soil, Poisson ratio and shear modulus are considered. Responses in terms of variation in natural period, base shear, deflection, and column forces, obtained from the analysis of the SSI model are compared with that obtained from conventional method assuming rigidity at the base of the structure. The results show that the SSI effects are significant in altering the seismic response full shear wall at central bay and basement wall below plinth in combination is the alternative for minimizing the effects of SSI.Key words:Soil-Structure Interaction, natural period, Base Shear, column forces, masonry building, RC building ×

In tall buildings lateral loads are premier one which will increase rapidly with increase in height. The analysis and design takes care of the requirements of strength, rigidity and stability. It is mandatory to do the seismic analysis and design to structural against collapse. It is highly impossible to prevent an earthquake from occurring, but the damage to the buildings can be controlled through proper analysis and design. Structure is analyzed in such a way that reducing damage during an earthquake makes the structure quite uneconomical. In this project a residential of 5 & 10 story building are studied for earthquake load using ETABS 2016. Assuming that material property is linear static and Response spectrum analysis is performed. These analyses are carried out by considering different seismic zones. Different response like story displacements, Time Period and Acceleration, base shear is plotted for different zones.Key words: RCC Building, multistory, zones, Response Spectrum Analysis, Disp., Time Period and Acceleration. ×

The slender columns are widely used in modern high rise buildings. The bearing capacity of such columns is, obviously, dependent on the effective length or, we can say, slenderness ratio. This paper presents the effect of slenderness ratio over the elastic structural steel columns based on the equivalent model. The critical load that a column can withstand for a defined slenderness ratio for the design is being determined by the buckling analysis of the column. The designed column being circular in cross-section is fixed at one of its ends and free at the other. A vertical load was applied to the slender column top, and the lateral displacement was to be calculated for the whole structure. The computational evaluations were performed with the general purpose finite element code ANSYS 19.0, which can effectively......Key words: ANSYS, Buckling, Columns, Critical load, Slenderness ratio. ×

In the advent of a smartphone dependent world, applications have become an integral part of life. Existing apps are providing information which is missing a connection to get to the goal of having a good plan. Planning is one of the most time consuming activities and all existing applications focus on single services (be it a movie, or a dine-out etc.) while a complete plan requires a combination of such services. (What if we had to plan a movie AND a dine-out). Into the frame comes the Service Oriented Architecture that puts together all the needed services in a single place (application) from where users can very conveniently plan out an evening based on the recommendations provided. A weighted k-Nearest Neighbours(kNN) algorithm sorts out the recommendations based on filter parameters provided by the user (such as their location, budget etc.), while API services provided by the respective single service applications allow us to bring together multiple services on one platform to provide a complete planning experience.Key words: API, kNN, Recommendations, Service, Service Oriented Architecture ×

This paper present the scalar speed control of three phase squirrel cage induction motor .In this scalar control method both input and output command are speed. PI and fuzzy logic controller are operated according to speed error to utilize the advantages of both controllers .In fuzzy logic controller two input and one output is used in control operation. Speed of the motor is adjusted by Fuzzy logic controller (FLC) with the help of predefined rules for input and output of fuzzy controller. Two inputs to the FLC are error and change in error. Its output is frequency of AC input of the motor. The control scheme keeps voltage and frequency ratio of induction motor constant. The voltage and frequency input to the induction motor are control in order to obtain desired speed response. This proposed fuzzy controller utilizes the advantages on PI controllers. The simulation results proved that the fuzzy controller performance is superior due to fast response under reference speed and load torque variations. Vedic mathematics is the ancient Indian system of mathematics. This paper proposed the design oh high speed Vedic Multiplier using the techniques of Ancient Indian Vedic Mathematics that has been modified to improve performance. Multipliers play a major role in processors and in many computational systems. The speed of these systems greatly depends on the speed of its multipliers. In order to enhance the speed of the systems the faster and efficient multipliers should be employed. Vedic Multiplier is one of the best solution which is capable of performing the quicker multiplications by eliminating the unwanted steps in the multiplication process. Vedic Multiplier deals with a total of sixteen sutras or algorithms for predominantly logical operations. In this paper it is used for designing a high speed, low power 4X4 multiplier. In the proposed design we have reduced the number of logic levels, thus reducing the logic delay. However misuse of the cutting fluids and wrong methods of its disposal can effect human health and environment badly. Also, it accounts for 16-20% of the total cost of manufacturing in the production industry. In order to minimize the usage of lubricants in machining operations here we use oil mist lubrication system. Oil mist system is the Minimum Quantity Lubrication (MQL) technique. This oil mist system increases the production rate in plant and also enhances various parameters such as surface finishing of work piece, increases tool life, reduces tool wear, etc. The paper explains the mechanism of oil mist lubrication system. The process of grouping a set of objects into classes of similar objects is called clustering. A cluster is a collection of data objects that are similar to one another within the same cluster and are dissimilar to the objects in other clusters. A cluster of data objects can be treated collectively as one group and so may be considered as a form of data compression. The choice of clustering algorithm depends both on the type of data available and on the particular purpose of the application. Hierarchical clustering method works by grouping data objects into a tree of clusters. Hierarchical clustering methods can be further classified as either agglomerative or divisive, depending on whether the hierarchical decomposition is formed in a bottom-up or top-down fashion. In this paper we proposed a comparative study of some hierarchical clustering..Key words: Cluster, Divisive Hierarchical, Agglomerative, , Bottom-up, Top-down. ×

A message is to be transferred from one network to another across some sort of internet. To do this a logical information channel should established by defining a route through the internet from source to destination with the help of some protocols. A security-related transformation on the information to be sent, with some secret information as secret key will be shared by the two networks and, it is hoped, unknown to the opponent. Wireless networks are increasingly being used in the network with limited cost and low equipment requirement. However, the growing popularity and widespread applications of wireless networks are directly proportionate to their security exploitation. The strength of its infrastructure also becomes the point of its greatest availability in the network. Thus decreasing the confidence level of the system as it pertains to availability, reliability, data integrity and privacy............Key words: Stream cipher, HMAC algorithm, constrained environment, WEP protocol. ×

Hard real-time systems are usually required to provide an absoluteguarantee that all tasks will always complete by their deadlines.Inthis paper we address fault tolerant hard real-time systems, and introducethenotionofaprobabilisticguarantee. Schedulabilityanalysisisused together with sensitivity analysis to establish the maximum faultfrequency that a system can tolerate. The fault model is then used toderivea probability(likelihood)that, duringthelifetimeofthesystem, faults will not arrive faster than this maximum rate. The frameworkpresented is a general one that can accommodate transient "software‟faults, toleratedbyrecoveryblocksorexceptionhandling;ortransient"hardware‟faultsdealtwithbystateresto rationandre-execution.Key words: xxxxxx ×
