  • Abstract:

In this paper, Inconel 718 of nickel-based superalloytest pieces were prepared by selectivelaser melting technology. The test pieces of Inconel 718 material printed under different process parameters were processed and their internal defects were observed. The influence of laser power and volume energy density on the forming quality of the test pieces during selective laser melting was studied. The results show that the bulk energy density is positively correlated with the forming quality of the test piece, and the laser power is too small to easily form holes and unfused defects.

  • Abstract:

Traditional fuels such as coal, wood, cow dung, petroleum, and others were used as a source of Energy for various tasks such as food preparation, illumination, and heating for a long time. Other places of the world have these conventional fossil fuels. The usage of Energy, in any form, is critical for every country's progress. India, like China, is a developing country with abundant energy resources. According to a new analysis, conventional resources would be depleted shortly. As a result, to meet the current demand for Energy from industry and home needs, one must choose an alternative or substitute for energy supplies. Renewable energy sources can be used to power both homes and businesses. At the policy and planning stages, this would necessitate planning and strategy for well-organized, sustainable, and justifiable renewable energy systems. Complex and plural existence would require a structural blueprint to reduce the complexity and difficulty involved. The goal of this project is to develop an efficient structural system for the utilization of renewable energy.

  • Abstract:

Agarbatti/Incence Sticks production is a well-established cottage industry and is a 5 crore worth growing market in India. Base material for incense sticks is bamboo stick which accounts for one third of its weight. Cost of bamboo is only about one percent of the final finished product but is the most essential raw material for agarbatti production. However due to shortage of gregarious flowering of the major species of bamboo used in stick production i.e. Muli bamboo, there can be shortage of raw material and decrease in supply of sticks. Further, due to decrease in import duty from 30% to 10% on bamboo sticks, 70% of bamboo needs of agarbatti industry are fulfilled by imported bamboo sticks from China and Vietnam. The imported bamboo sticks are better with respect to uniformity of dimensions and quality because of large scale mechanization. Bamboo Mission is focusing on development of bamboo sector through encouraging bamboo plantations and introducing mechanization. Cooperative Society members were involved in stick making activity through manual process. Now, with focus of Govt. on this sector the society wants to move to mechanized stick production process as a full-fledged business activity

  • Abstract:

Electronic Medical Records (EMR) has increasingly available, so disease prediction has recently gained immense research attention, where an accurate classifier needs to be trained tomap the input prediction signals to the estimated diseases for each patient. In this paper, we introduce a model based on Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) for disease prediction, which utilizes external knowledge bases to augment the insufficient EMR data, andlearns highly representative node embeddings for patients, diseases, and symptoms from the medical concept graph and patient record graph. By aggregating information from directly connected neighbor nodes, the neural graph encoder can effectively generate embeddings that capture knowledge from both data sources and can inductively infer the embeddings for a new patient based on the symptoms reported inpatient EMRs to allow for accurate prediction on both general diseases and rare diseases.

The shear wall is a structural component designed to withstand the lateral forces acting on a structure. These walls are especially of more importance in seismically active regions when shear force on structure increases due to the seismic activity. These walls have more strength, rigidity and resistance to the lateral load which is applied along its height. Buildings with shear wall that are properly designed and detailed have done very good job in the past during seismic activity. Various studies have been conducted on the design of the shear wall and its performance to seismic forces. The present study will review the available literature regarding the design and analysis of reinforced cement concrete shear wall

  • Abstract:

This paper presents a comparison of hourly simulation models for multi-vertical boreholes heat exchangers (BHE). The comparison is based on three different methods that are Duct Storage model, Eskilson's g-function, and incomplete Bessel Function. The proposed comparison is simulated with TRNSYS and the results plotted with R-Studio. EFT for balanced dominant buildings are within the same range for all B/H ratios where its decreasing with increasing B/H ratios for cooling dominant buildings and increasing with increasing B/H ratios for heating dominant buildings. The average energy consumptions over 20 years are decreasing with increasing B/H ratios. EFT results for both Incomplete Bessel function and DST are matchable, where Eskilsons' results are not with 15% to 18% mismatch at 100kW load and 20 boreholes and 10% mismatch with 500kW load and 100 boreholes. Eskilson's model is more efficient compared to the other models because the energy consumption is less and EFT variation less as well. Finally, the differences between Eskilson's model and the other methods reduces in cooling and balanced dominant buildings with higher loads and higher B/H ratios.
