Abstract:
Insofar as the electronics can be found now in several applications of multiple domains, we have tried to highlight in this study that, those systems must be based on unquestionable reliability and meet the needs of the external environment. Starting from the unit "°c / w" concerning the thermal resistance from the gap between junction temperature and a reference temperature, we have tried to compare the thermal performance of electronic packages taking into consideration the thermal management. Our approach is based on the Monte Carlo simulation and the stochastic characterization of the QFN. From the norm of normalization, we have obtained standardized data sheets allowing accurate comparisons of the thermal performance of electronic packages as produced by different manufacturers. Our numerical model through simulation, prototyping concerning the design involves the JEDEC recommendations, which we consider a very interesting alternative.........Keyword: Electronic package; Finite element method; printed circuit board (PCB); Quad Flat No Lead (QFN); Simulation of Monte Carlo; Thermal resistance. ×

Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is consists of mobile hosts or sensor nodes proficient of functioning in absence of infrastructure. Such networks should be capable of self forming, self organizing, self managing, self recovering, and able to operate under dynamic conditions. The multi-hop communication phenomenon is used to sending information to receiver. To attain this, each mobile node depends on its neighbor or range node to forward the data packet to the destination. In fact, most of previous studies on MANET have implicitly assumed that nodes are cooperative such as node cooperation becomes a very important issue in MANET. The attacker in dynamic network are easily affected the routing performance and data receiving ratio is affected as compared to normal performance of network as well as dropping of data is enhanced. The packets percentage is degrades is the confirmation of attacker misbehavior...........Key words:WSN, Routing, Malicious, wormhole, Link Reliability, IPS. ×

The aim of this paper is to estimate true liquid level of tank from noisy measurements due to dynamic conditions using kalman filter algorithm. We proposed kalman filter based approach to reduce noise in liquid level measurement system due to effect like sloshing. The function of kalman filter is to reduce error in liquid level measurement that produced from sensor resulting from effect like sloshing in dynamic environment. A prototype model was constructed and placed in dynamic condition, level data was acquired using ultrasonic sensor to verify the effectiveness of kalman filter. The tabulated data are shown for comparison of accuracy and error analysis between both measurements with Kalman filter and statistical averaging filter. After several test with different liquid levels and analysis of the recorded data, the technique shows the usefulness in liquid level measurement application in dynamic condition. Keywords:Estimation, Kalman filter, Dynamic, LabVIEW, Sloshing. ×

The current trend in automotive industry is to achieve compact, efficient, reliable systems. Engine timing drives used in engines are one of the most critical systems. Timing belts are subjected to excessive elongation and wear, while timing gears contribute excess mass and inertia in the system. Hence timing chains are preferred widely, in various high performance engines. Chain drives are easy to assemble and adjust, highly efficient, durable, reliable, compact and capable of attaining a wide range of power and speed capacities. In spite of these advantages their complex dynamic behaviour is not well researched. With the improvement of the speed and load of the automotive engine, and silent chain technology, as silent chain has a compact structure, high transmitting efficiency, high reliability and high wear resistance, its vibration and noise is low.........Keywords:Chain drive, Cylindrical contact, Contact force, Tensioner, Chain stiffness. ×

In this research, calculations and simulations to obtain SOBP curve on the model of the thyroid tumor were done by determining the energy and the number of protons in each beam of protons. Simulations carried out with the help of the SRIM and TRIM code, while the computational calculations and graphics were done with python. The SOBP curve profile obtained from this study is flatter in the region of the tumor compared to previous results by other researchers, and can be concluded that tumor tissue receives a uniform lethal dose, while other normal tissues surrounding receive non-lethal doses. Quantitatively, if the dose received by the tumor tissue is expressed as 100% dose, the dose received by healthy tissue outside the tumor is a maximum of 92%.In a further development, this research method can be applied to other tissue model based on the image of the CTSCAN containing tumor tissue..Keywords:Proton beam radiotherapy, Bragg curve, TRIM, SRIM, SOBP ×

The structural system of a high-rise building often has a more pronounced effect than a low rise building on the total building cost and the architecture aspect of building. Shear walls are lateral load resisting structural systems which provide stability to structures from lateral loads like wind and seismic Loads. The design of multi storey building is to have good lateral load resisting System along with gravity load system for safety of occupant and for better performance of structure even in most adverse condition. The main scope of this project is to apply class room knowledge in the real world by designing a multi-storied residential building. Shear walls are more efficient in resisting lateral loads in multi storied buildings. Steel and reinforced concrete shear walls are kept in major positions of multi storied buildings which are made in consideration of seismic forces and wind forces. To solve this purpose shear walls are a very powerful structural elements, if used judiciously can reduce deflections and stresses to a very great extent..........Keywords:Shear wall, Building Drift, Response spectrum method, Time period, OMRF, Base shear. ×

Data Streams are sequential set of data records. When data appears at highest speed and constantly, so predicting the class accordingly to the time is very essential. Currently Ensemble modeling techniques are growing speedily in Classification of Data Stream. Ensemble learning will be accepted since its benefit to manage huge amount of data stream, means it will manage the data in a large size and also it will be able to manage concept drifting. Prior learning, mostly focused on accuracy of ensemble model, prediction efficiency has not considered much since existing ensemble model predicts in linear time, which is enough for small applications and accessible models workings on integrating some of the classifier. Although real time application has huge amount of data stream so we required base classifier to recognize dissimilar model and make a high grade ensemble model...........Keywords:Data Stream mining, classification, machine learning, spatial indexing, concept drifting. ×

In the process of analysis and assessment of the safety of a rail transportation system, one of the difficulties is to ensure the completeness of the accident scenarios taken into account by all the actors involved in the development of the system. The present work is to formalize, classify and archive the historical scenarios experienced on transportation systems in French already certified and/or approved such that the VAL, MAGGALY, TVM 430 of the TGV Nord. The goal is to develop a database of historical scenarios from the know-how of the manufacturers, masters of book and experts and researchers from the French Institute IFSTTAR to help examine the completeness of safety analyzes. The development and the operation of this basis of scenarios have need resort to the techniques of knowledge acquisition and automatic learning. It is proposed in this paper to use a small portion of the audio speech signal to estimate Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR). It is found that, the first 30 ms duration has enough information about the SNR in advance. The first 30 ms of a recorded speech usually comes from the silence rather than speech. This is because the speaker usually starts the recording process or wait for it before he/she can deliver the utterance. For testing and comparing the proposed estimator, different noisy corpora are built upon the TIMIT data. The average estimation of the suggested algorithm proves to get better results as compared to the Waveform Amplitude Distribution Analysis (WADA) and the National Institute of Standard and Technology (NIST) SNR estimators. The complexity of the STS-SNR estimator is less than both as it only processes a small portion of the audio samples. Keywords:SNR Estimation, Noisy Speech, Signal-to-Noise Ratio, Short-Time Silence. ×

Geopolymer is combination of waste material like flyash, ggbs therefore does not have an industry which could cause carbon dioxide emission. When Portland cement was produced a mixture of raw materials required heating more than 1400◦ C to obtain cement powder and its corresponding high use of fuels. Plain concrete which is strong in compressive strength possesses a very low tensile strength, limited ductility and little resistance to cracking. Internal micro cracks are inherently present in the concrete due to drying, shrinkage and poor tensile strength, eventually leading to brittle fracture of concrete. Hence fibres are added to concrete to overcome these disadvantages. Fibre Reinforced Concrete (FRC) is a concrete composite of cement, fine and coarse aggregate and fibres with different proportions. In plain concrete, micro cracks develop even before loading, particularly due to drying, shrinkage or other causes of volume change. The width of these initial cracks seldom exceeds few microns. When loaded the micro cracks propagate and open up, due to the effect of stress concentration additional cracks form in place of minor defects. Fibres enable concrete to progress from plastic state to hardened state without weakness...............Keywords:Workability, strength, steel fiber, aggregate and cement ×

The proposed study has formulated six optimization programming problems with non linearity. The model problems have considered the issue of minimizing the risk of bacterial growth and spread among different aged plants. The observational data with agricultural laboratories in Andhra Pradesh have been considered to explore the influencing parameters of the optimization problems. All the formulations on the objective functions as well as the constraints are based on the early works of the researchers in the case of Trivariate stochastic modeling of bacterial growth and spread. This study has applied on different species as well as at different stages of growth (age groups) of plants [2]. It has a very good scope for exploring the intensity indicators of bacterial spread so as an effective crop management can be done with agricultural care takers. Keywords:Optimal Programming Problems, Bacterial Disease Management, Trivariate Stochastic Processes, Decision Support Systems. ×

Green datacenters has become a major research area among researchers in academy and industry. One of the recent approaches getting higher attention is supplying datacenters with renewable sources of energy, leading to cleaner and more sustainable datacenters. However, this path poses new challenges. The main problem with existing renewable energy technologies is high variability, which means high fluctuation of available energy during different time periods on a day, month or year. In our paper, we address the issue of better managing datacenter workload in order to achieve higher utilization of available renewable energy. We implement an algorithm in CloudSim simulator which decides to postpone or urgently run a specific job asking for datacenter resources, based on job's deadline and available solar energy..............Keywords:Green datacenters, energy consumption, renewable energy, solar energy, simulator ×

Groundwater pollution in the north coast of Mombasa is not only from surface sources but also from the intrusion of seawater via the Indian Ocean and creeks. This study assessed the vulnerability of the coastal aquifer to seawater intrusion using GALDIT index overlay method with the aid of GIS. Thematic maps of six major factors affecting seawater intrusion were prepared, and given appropriate weightages and ratings. These maps were overlaid, spatially analyzed to produce vulnerability maps and described based on low, moderate or high vulnerabilities. The results revealed a significant increase in percentage land cover for low vulnerability areas and a slight increase for high vulnerability regions between the pre-rains and the peak of raining season. The outcomes of this study provide useful insights on effective groundwater management for the study area. Keywords:GALDIT index, Vulnerability, Seawater intrusion, GIS, Groundwater pollution, Mombasa, Coastal aquifer ×

Renewable energy resources sector growth in India has been significant, even for electricity generation from renewable sources. Renewable energy is energy generated from natural resources such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides, and geothermal heat, which are renewable (naturally replenished). Even for the decentralized systems, the growth for solar home lighting systems has been 300%, solar lanterns 99% and solar photovoltaic water pumps 196%. This is a phenomenal growth in the renewable energy sector mainly for applications that were considered to be supplied only through major electricity utilities. Some large projects have been proposed, and a 35,000 km2 area of the Thar Desert has been set aside for solar power projects, sufficient to generate 700 to 2,100 giga watts. Renewable energy systems are also being looked upon as a major application for electrification of 20,000 remote and unelectrified villages and hamlets by 2007 and all households in such villages and hamlets by 2018.Keywords:Renewable Energy Program, solar, Photovoltaic, wind and Biomass. ×

Mandarin proficiency test is an important proficiency test in China. In 2001, China joined the World Trade Organization, and there are more and more exchanges between China and other countries in the world. The official language of China (Putonghua) is widely used in all countries. In order to promote the interactions and exchanges around the world, Mandarin proficiency training and test come out. Due to various reasons, more and more people receive the training and want to gain the high levels in the test. There are a lot of testers, and it brings much trouble in the registration phase. In this paper, a new registration model for Mandarin proficiency test is proposed to simplify the registration process. The proposed model is convenient, and a lot of time can be saved by using it. The testers can track their status, and easily obtain the related information about the test. The administrator can easily handle the registration information for every tester, and manage the proficiency test better according to the testers' information in our model. Keywords:Mandarin Proficiency test, Registration Model, Management ×

Public- Private Partnerships is becoming a popular investment model since late 1980s and 1990s in the world. PPPs in the delivery of public services have become a phenomenon which is spreading around the globe and generating great interest among governments, investors and other key project stakeholders. Public- Private Partnerships avoid the often negative effects of either exclusive public ownership or outright privatization. This is seen as a win-win situation for both public and private entities where they undertake large scale projects. This balanced approach is especially welcomed in public services which touch on every human being‟s basic needs & economic development of a country..............Keywords:Infrastructure development, Public- Private Partnerships ×

Burning of natural gas brings about emitting of carbon monoxide into the environment as well as warm up the environment, thereby contributing to the global warming scourge. The results indicate that the answers denoting increased perception of effectiveness were found by the public institution, as well as, in this institution the decision-makers carefully consider the alternatives, often refer their subordinates and often provide feedback on the decisions taken.Keywords:Decision-making styles, Higher education institutions ×

The nodes in MANET are free to move in a limited grid layout without the presence of vision of the superior authority or administration. The nodes in network are free to move in any other network at any time. That means the nodes are join or leave the network at any instant, that's why the security is the major issue in MANET. Routing protocols are not able to handle the malicious activities of attacker because their function is to provide the path in between sender to receiver and route data from the path which is selected for transferring information. This paper proposed the distributed security scheme for providing reliable path and secure communication. The proposed bloom filtering technique is not only filtering the unwanted infected packets of routing attacker...............Keywords:Security, Routing attacker, IP modification, Bloom filter, MANET ×

In this study, to realize the load-frequency control according to different loading statuses, modelling of dynamic behaviour of the Adıgüzel Hydroelectric Power Plant (HEPP) was made by using the Matlab/Simulink program. By establishing the dynamic model of 36MVA synchronous generator and other components in the system in a manner reflecting its behaviour in the real system, performance of classical controller and self-adjusting fuzzy logic controller in electro-hydraulic governor circuit was examined according to different load statuses. During the simulation works carried out when both control systems closely watched in the fuzzy logic control system according to different loads the frequency of load and the number of frequency have been observed to be stable in short period of time and allowed tolerance limits...Keywords:Fuzzy logic controller, Hydroelectric power plant, Load frequency control. ×

An optimal data partitioning in parallel/distributed implementation of clustering algorithms is a necessary computation as it ensures independent task completion, fair distribution, less number of affected points and better & faster merging. Though partitioning using Kd-Tree is being conventionally used in academia, it suffers from performance drenches and bias (non equal distribution) as dimensionality of data increases and hence is not suitable for practical use in industry where dimensionality can be of order of 100's to 1000's. To address these issues we propose two new partitioning techniques using existing mathematical models & study their feasibility, performance (bias and partitioning speed) & possible variants in choosing initial seeds...............Keywords:Clustering, Data Partitioning, Parallel Processing, KD Tree, KD-Tree, Voronoi Diagrams. ×

The parametric study on buckling analysis of laminated composite plates using ANSYS the finite element software. The results obtained are validated withthe analytical solution from the standard journal papers. The study is focused on obtaining the critical buckling load of cross-ply laminated composite plate subjected touniaxial and biaxial compressive loading, varying plate parameters a/b (aspect ratio) = 0.5 to 1.5 with 0.5 increment, a/h (length to thicknessratio) = 10 and 100, and E1/E2 (orthotropic ratio) = 10 to 40 with 10 increment. The effectof change in combination of support condition on edges of plateis carried out for the variables as mentioned above. The effect of fiber angle orientation on size of mesh for cross-ply and angle-ply with symmetric and antisy mmetric stacking sequence to be determined by carrying out convergence test on plate......Keywords:Angle-ply, ANSYS 19.0 APDL, Aspect ratio, Cross-ply, Critical buckling and orthotropic ratio. ×

Food wastage is a growing global crisis that is affecting the physical health of the earth and the population inhabiting the entire planet. Recent estimates postulate that food wasted in developed countries; like Europe and the United States can feed the whole continent in more than three times. Two out of 8 children in the United States live in homes that cannot access enough food. Food wastage is a serious environmental concern facing the whole continent. To determine the way out of this disaster........Keywords:.... ×
